About

My favorite passage in literature comes from Alice Walker’s The Color Purple. The vivacious Shug Avery tells the battered Celie that it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field and don’t notice it. What a beautiful way to see the world. How true it is.

It is my undeniable truth that appreciating the smallest of gifts bring me greater happiness than anything extravagant ever could. The Pembrooke Place is about the simple pleasures that create beauty in my life along with the stories that inspired them.
