Welcome Winter
The fleeting pleasure of gaining an extra hour when daylight savings time ends is often replaced by the reality that darkness has descended upon us along with colder temperatures. The holidays make the remaining two months of the year fly by, but as February creeps into March, most yearn to feel the warm sun upon tired bodies. However, if we choose to embrace winter, there is much to cherish. After all, romance cannot exist without darkness punctuated by flickering candlelight and roaring fires, nor could we experience coziness without cashmere, flannel, wool or soft fur. A hearty stew or soup, a decadent cabernet or a rich creamy hot chocolate would not taste as good in the heat. The time has come to fill our homes with luxury. Winter white fur pillows, flannel bedding, soft throws, glowing candles, pinecones, and little white lights strung on branches imbue serenity in our private world.
Bring on the dark.

What a beautiful photo. It makes me want to curl up under a nice, cozy blanket with a cup of hot tea.
