The Pembrooke Tangerine Martini
This cocktail represents my favorite flavors of the season-orange, thyme and rosemary. It also pairs beautifully with sparkles, noise makers and Ould Lang Sine. Here’s to 2023.
The Pembrooke Tangerine Martini
1/4 cup orange vodka
1/4 cup tangerine juice. (Tangerine juice is available at Wegman’s. Can substitute orange/tangerine juice or orange juice with no pulp)
2 teaspoons Grand Marnier
1 tablespoon rosemary simple syrup (see below)
Orange-flavored seltzer water
Fresh cranberries, thyme springs and tangerine or orange slices for garnish
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and pour into a martini glass. Top with orange-flavored seltzer water. Garnish with a few cranberries, a tangerine slice and a sprig of thyme.
Rosemary simple syrup
1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
3 fresh sprigs of rosemary
In a small pot combine sugar and water and boil until sugar is dissolved. Place rosemary in pot with simple syrup and let cool for an hour. Remove rosemary and store syrup in a tight container until ready to use.
